Kaong is the chewy, translucent fruit from the sugar palm (Arenga pinnata), commonly used in Filipino desserts such as halo-halo, fruit salads, pandan sweets, and sweet drinks .

An ingredient in fruit salads, noodles-based desserts, or sweet pastries
A sweet snack on its own or combined with nata de coco, jackfruit, or condensed milk
